why do bad things happen to good people?
ran the lake, felt pretty good.
i was really hauling it in at the end… i’m definitely not in long distance shape right now, but it’ll be a pretty smooth transition.
Wait, you mean my feet and my legs are supposed to be the same color??
since i’m going to be in germany for 2 and a half weeks after graduation for an exchange trip, i’ve revised my recovery schedule. my legs are feeling much better, so i’m going to start running again from now until i leave, and use the time i’ll be gone as complete recovery time, since i’m pretty sure i won’t have the opportunity to run while i’m away.
it was hot today, but ariana and i did 4.5 miles through the woods and around the lake and it was fun (: felt good!
then hit up 7-11 with aissa after! solid tuesday.
can’t wait to get back to running, and hope to stay injury free!
at least i’ll be able to run on trails for summer training stuff, it’s so much nicer to be off concrete (:
running, swimming, biking, rock climbing, parkouring? i’m just curious to see how everyone beats the heat (or attacks it) over the summer.
Not to say “I’ll just have water.” Instead, I will say, “Water, please,” or, “I’ll have water.” Saying “just water” completely undermines the absolutely fucking inconceivable awesomeness that is water. It’s just the shit. It’s like the unicorn of real life.
HAHAHAHA this is great
I’m not saying running isn’t hard; because it is. It might be one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. Who wants to try to gasp for air when it’s hot out and sweat down to your bone? Who wants to feel like their legs might just crumble under our own weight? Even your mind feels heavy when you’re running from pain. But let me tell you, it might just be the most amazing thing you’ll ever do. Don’t ever think running would ever do you wrong; she’s your friend in the end.
this is very relevant to my team right now
the hotter it gets, the more resistant i become to wearing clothes that are not tshirts and running shorts
using “idcapthat” on meet photos would probably be the funniest thing ever.
especially on pics of people on the last straightaway.
oh my.
high school… and quite a few are underclassmen
the winning girls 4x800 last night was a 9:14
awesome, i’ll definitely check it out!
welcome to the tumblr world, if it doesn’t distract you too much, i’m sure you’ll find plenty of inspiration to get out there and run (:
statebound!
amazing race, going sub 8:00!!!
i am so happy for all of you, you rocked my world tonight.
senior pride + nathan hahaha.
ahhhhhhh i am so proud of you allll ♥
alright, so since i’m done with my season, i’m taking my obligatory 2 weeks off running. however, i’m still trying to stay in shape and have been biking and doing core.
i don’t have a gym membership and don’t plan on getting one so that’s off the table.
does anyone have any suggestions of other stuff i could be doing in the meantime to keep the biking-core routine from getting old fast?
today one of the guys on the baseball team asked me how track did at districts.
we are not forgotten (entirely)
(:
so every year the newspaper staff puts together a senior edition of the school paper. apparently for the track page, one of the coaches referred them to me, so i answered a couple questions about why track was important to me, what i’ll miss, and if/how i’ll be continuing next year.
i’m laughing at the cheesiness of my answers while trying not to cry at how sincere they are. i wasn’t even trying to be cheesy, i don’t think there is a not cheesy way to talk about how important running has been to me.
i love all our school sports, let’s get that straight.
but our girls soccer wrecked tonight, boys soccer won, and baseball won districts so it’s all over facebook and twitter.
boys track won our district and girls track came in second. but no one seemed to interested.
thus is the life of a runner.
- boy: i have food.
our school xc facebook group is being turned over.
i just added one of the girls who will be a senior next year to admin.
ahhh… the memories
Hahahaha been there :/
