tonight my parents went out, so dinner was either leftovers or something we could find in the freezer. i didn’t feel like chicken and and i get lazy when it comes to cooking for myself, so i whipped this up instead, and it was really good & simple, so i figured i’d share. we had some leftover quinoa in the fridge from earlier this week, which we have as a substitute for rice...

so this afternoon i spent some time looking into club track & xc programs at the schools i’ve been accepted to, and 3 out of the 5 have them, as far as i can tell. one of them has a public facebook group and i was reading through the posts and they sound like fun people & still in the spirit of the team i’m on now. but i’ve still got what is going to be a spectacular...
the following occurred as i was putting on my running shoes
dad: are you getting ready to go for a run?
me: actually, i was going to go out and herd some antelopes, but i like your idea better. be back in 45 minutes or so.
dad: ok, be safe!

runningismyboyfriend: Also when you pass off the baton GET OFF THE FLIPPIN TRACK, sorry not sorry for running into you, but you cost my team regionals…thanks and then there are the people who don’t move into lanes 1 or 2 after those ahead receive the baton… grrrrrr.

district championships part one are this thursday! i’ll be racing in our 4x800. last spring we were less than a second away from qualifying for states, but this season (aside from me) it’s a completely different crew, but we have a shot at making regionals. so we shall see!
